Comfort Keepers Mission
Our mission is to provide our clients with the highest level of quality of life that is achievable. We shall treat each of our clients with the respect and dignity they deserve, as though we were caring for a member of our own family.
The special people who deliver our unique brand of in-home senior care (We call them Comfort Keepers®.) are carefully selected, screened, and trained to provide professional, compassionate care.
About Our Location
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our services. Our award winning Comfort Keepers® agency serves the greater Dane County region. We look forward to the opportunity to help elders, those with disabilities and their families. Families choose Comfort Keepers because we work with the family in devising a plan of care that is flexible and meets the needs of the client AND the family.
Quality is our Watchword
We started the business because we wanted to help the elderly in our community. We also wanted to start a business that felt good. Comfort Keepers has a Medical Director (Richard Hendricks, MD) and a Registered Nurse who is board certified in geriatric nursing. Two staff are Certified Senior Advisors (CSA) and members of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors. All caregivers are trained in a core curriculum prior to providing any service in the home. They are also required to take 12 hours of continuing education each year. Caregivers have received specialized training in memory care by the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Association. Comfort Keepers is accredited by Shield Accreditation, is a member of the National Private Duty Association (NPDA), the Better Business Bureau and numerous Chambers of Commerce.

Comfort Keepers is a world leader in providing dependable and compassionate in-home care to seniors, those recovering from illness and/or injury, and adults of all ages who simply need assistance in their home. At Comfort Keepers, the main reasons for our high quality of care are directly due to the high quality of caregivers we employ. No caregiver comes into your home without being trained. Each year, all our caregivers are required to take continuing education. Numerous background checks are performed on all potential caregivers and once they pass a comprehensive screening, they are insured and bonded. We only hire caregivers that we feel comfortable caring for our own loved ones. In addition, we feel strongly that it is our job to get to know our clients and find the best possible caregiver match that will result in lifelong friendships.
Our services range from personal cares (see above) to a variety of companion/homemaker service. Because our services are available on an hourly, weekly, or monthly basis, our clients are able to choose the services they need and we can design a package to fit most budgets. If you know of someone who could benefit from our services, please feel free to have them contact us at 608-442-1898 to arrange for a FREE home visit. During the visit, one of our Client Care Coordinator will be able to discuss further how Comfort Keepers can best help (with no obligations).
Comfort Keepers takes an active role in national and community-based organizations which ultimately help to support you and your family. Some of these organizations include: Better Business Bureau (A+ Rating), National Private Duty Association (NPDA), National Private Duty Association - Wisconsin Chapter, and numerous area Chambers of Commerce as well as the Society of Certified Senior Advisors (SCSA).
Interactive Caregiving™ is based on four primary pillars, which Comfort Keepers leverage to care for, engage, and interact with our clients:
- An active senior mind promotes independence, better mental and physical health, happiness, and a longer life.
- A physically active senior maintains strength and independence, lessening or delaying the effects of aging.
- A well-nourished senior is more energetic, both physically and mentally.
- A safe senior lives in an environment that reduces the likelihood of accidents and promotes timely response when illness or accidents occur.
With our Interactive Caregiving approach, we are able to raise seniors’ quality of life to a much higher level than typical in-home care providers.
